Mid 19th c. Chinese Painted and Gilded Pillow Form Embellishment, 16th - 17th c., depicting gilded two foo lions flanking a pierced sphere (representing the world), set on a shaped red painted base, 6" high, 15 1/2" x 9". Base shrinkage crack, chips and losses gilding and paint losses. Provenance: Collections of William Walker & descendants, and the Walker Foundation.
