Description
A Fine Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Granary Jar. This porcelain model of a covered jar in the form of a storehouse (granary) was most likely made at one of the kilns in Fujian province. The wide cover has been made in the form of a tiled roof, the jar with vertical ridges, representing the wall of the granary. The cover, the outer wall and inner mouth of the jar are coated in an attractive finely-crackled translucent greenish-blue Qingbai glaze. Height 11.5 cm, diameter 12.5 cm. It is in fine condition with no restoration or repair. Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368).
