In his eighties, his vision impaired by cataracts, Monet summoned all his mastery to complete his crowning achievement, the Nympheas series in the Orangerie museum in Paris. Robert Gordon is a photographer, art historian, and filmmaker who has published numerous articles on Monet and contributed to two major books on the period of the French Impressionists. Andrew Forge, a painter and art historian author of Abrams monograph on Robert Rauschenberg has been Dean of the School of Art, Yale University, and is a member of the board of directors of the American Academy in Rome."
