Ives, Blakeslee Co. Bridgeport, CT - 1875 Sojourner Truth was an American abolitionist and women's rights activist. Born into slavery in Swartekill, New York, she escaped to freedom with her infant daughter and went to court to recover her son in 1828. She was the first black woman to win a case against a white man. Excellent Condition.
