Vintage Ship's Porthole Frame and Glass; a working porthole with hinged glass (acrylic) cover. This piece is fabricated in steel so it is probably from an inland waters vessel. There is still a heavy layer of paint on large areas. The face of the frame does show surface rust giving the piece a distinctive character. As a piece of nautical narrative, it is in good condition. The overall frame measures 6 1/2" in depth, 19" in diameter; the porthole opening measures 12" in diameter.
