Signed Letter And Artwork From Henry Miller Concerning A 1976 Affair Lot Of 5Henry Miller (1891-1980) is an American writer and artist best known for his writings involving social criticism, philosophical reflection, stream of consciousness, explicit language, sex, surrealist free association, and mysticism. Some of Miller’s art is included in this lot. According to the consignor’s relatives, these items were given to her over the course of a three year relationship. This lot consists of: a hand written love affair note, a watercolor print post card, 2 ink nude drawings and a large watercolor piece. Large watercolor will be packaged in a 25in x 19in x 6in box.1. Hand written love affair note. Note is dated June 4, 1976 and signed by Henry Miller in the bottom right corner. The letter is made out to a woman, whose name we have blanked out, detailing how wonderful she was last night and not to show Hellen the in closed or she may be jealous. Watercolor print post card Small watercolor print post card signed Henry Miller 6/73 in the bottom right corner. Piece involves and abstracted woman surrounded by abstract shapes/lines and writing in French. Print and frame are in excellent condition and judging by the mild waves that are visible between the paper and mat this indicates that the artwork is laid down rather than affixed to the mat.Measurements: Artwork- 6in x 4in approx.
