A GROUP OF TWO FRENCH AND CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN, LIDDED SAMSON VASE AND CANTON TUREEN, 19TH/20TH CENTURY, comprising a French hand blown blue souffle ground parcel gilt lidded jar, the onion dome finial over a bell form lid with Arabesque flowering landscape reserves above a tall neck and sloping shoulders with long reserves painted with landscape, a courting scene, and a man watching fish in a pond from a window interspersed by gilt sprays of flowers and small Ming style rock and flower landscape reserves, the foot with a Samson, Edme et Cie style overglaze red partial mark, height: 15", diameter: 8"; with a Chinese Export Canton style blue and white "Willow and Pagoda" motif, the top with a feather form finial surrounded by sprigs of flowers issued from unfurling scrolls with flower lattice within caviar fish egg, scale and double blue ring motif with a serpentine edge lid fitted over an oval tureen with an underglaze blue view of a port with pagodas, willows, and rocks rising in landscape flaked by integral bunny rabbit mask handles, raised on a octagonal foot with underglaze blue repeating pattern, height: 8 1/2", width: 14", depth: 9".

Some minor expected surface wear, rubbing of gilt and enamel on vase, a chip at foot of vase; the tureen with minor expected wear, surface soil and dust, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
