This is a 14 Karat Gold ladies wedding ring band (size 5 1/2) that was one of three items flown to the moon by Apollo 12 Mission Commander Charles "Pete" Conrad for Charlie Mars who was Chief of the Lunar Module Project Engineering Office at the time. This ring, along with the previous auction "Lot #142", makes up the wedding set for Charlie Mars and his first wife that passed away. This ring comes with a COA letter from Pete Conrad, made years after the flight, certifying the flown status of the ring and has a drawing of the ring design. He made a individual COA letter for each of the rings. It is hard to find personal items that have been flown into Lunar Orbit, so these are very special items. Each ring is being auctioned off separately. This 'Lot' is for the Ladies Wedding Band only.
