Description

Ghetto Bedzin - Very rare registered letter sent from Bedzin ghetto in Poland to Switzerland. Very interesting envelope sent from Dobra Sara Weinstein from Bendsburg O/S (now Bedzin) with ghetto censorship ink stamp sent to Alfred Schwarzbaum in Lausanne Switzerland. This is quite unsual letter because Jews WERE NOT ALLOWED to send registered letters and neither they could send letters in envelopes! So we are in front of a very particular and rare case. Of course some existed but it was very rare. You can see border label covered with ghetto stamp but this glue was easy to remove and now it's well visible. Very recommended very selective collectors of Holocaust related postal items.
