Roberto Raimondi (Italian, 1877 - 1961)
He was a pupil of Erulo Eroli, then Pio Joris and Giuseppe Signorini, from whom he learned not only the technical but also to favor the genre painting in watercolor. His first job exposed him to Rome in 1900 and was bought by King Since that time he started high volume production, participating in numerous exhibitions, especially abroad, where his watercolors were much sought after and appreciated. In addition to the genre paintings executed landscapes, portraits and decorations. One of his important decorative painting in the cemetery of Novara, followed in time when Raimondi taught in the Normal School. He took part in numerous competitions for professorships teaching, always with success, and in 1920 he was appointed professor in the School for Girls in Rome. And 'the tomb of his work Gallino family exists in Staglieno Cemetery in Genoa. Among his best known works are the portraits remind us: "Spingardi"; "Celesia and Gallino" the painting "The Painter", placed in a museum in New York, a series of watercolors illustrating the "Fori Imperiali".
