PRESSED SPICE BARREL NOVELTY COVERED DIVIDED DISH, colorless. King, Son and Company / Cascade Glass Works. Fourth quarter 19th century. 6 3/4" HOA, 5" x 6".
Very good condition overall with the base having a chip/minor loss to two corners and a sliver chip to the exterior of the rim; cover having a moderate to sizeable bruise to the barrel's overhanging edge, some chipping/minor losses to the flange and corners.
Literature: Sanford - Victorian Glass Novelties, p. 31, top left.
Provenance: From the Thomas Bredehoft collection, Saint Louisville, OH.

Condition
