Description
This is a duplex Schermack stamp vending machine that sold four 1¢ stamps for a nickel and three 3¢ stamps for a dime. The machine has a porcelain base and front on cast-iron, glass windows and a wonderfully graphic tin sign depicting Uncle Sam and advertising clean postage stamps. Light chipping to the porcelain, some bends and paint loss to the tin sign/marquee and original front paper label. Made in the 1930's by the Schermack Corp. of Michigan. With keys. Reference: "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes, page 272. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 20 - 1/2" x 11 - 1/2" x 8 - 1/2".
