Description
Very rare and seldom seen cardboard advertising depicting what appears to be George Washington's home in Mount Vernon, New York, with depicting of early residents dressed for the appropriate era and the words "Cherry Smash" carved out of the lawn in the front. The sign is marked for John R. Fowler Co. out of New York. The cardboard itself is bowed, with one area needing repair in the upper left-hand corner and an area of paper loss above the roof the house. The sign could be improved with a good cleaning. A very early Cherry Smash advertising sign, very difficult to find in any condition. Condition: (6.5 - 7.0). Dimensions: Frame: 30 - 1/4" x 26 - 1/4" x 1".
