DESCRIPTION: Two "PENNY PINEAPPLE" cast iron mechanical banks. "PENNY PINEAPPLE JULY 4 1960" stamped on back of vest of pineapple with dark blue shirt and "IMSWILER & SAYLOR" stamped on bottom of pineapple with dark blue shirt. Extended hand to throw coin in mouth when activated. In commemoration of Hawaii becoming official 50th state of United States. Light blue shirt pineapple comes in original box. PROVENANCE: From the estate of Thomas A. Imswiler. MEASUREMENTS: Banks 5-1/2" long x 5-1/2" deep x 9" high; mold 21-3/4" long x 1/2" deep x 14" high. CONDITION: Some corrosion on mold.
