DESCRIPTION: Francis D. Kramer, Philadelphia, Continental Congress Replica Chair. Maroon leather on wood frame. With brass plaque that reads "Fac-Simile / Continental Congress Chair / Manufactured by / Francis D. Kramer / From Wood Grown In / Independence Square". Francis D. Kramer (Pennsylvania, 1839-1898) was a well known furniture manufacturer and woodworker with facilities in Philadelphia. In his later years he worked almost exclusively on the manufacture of furniture to order. MEASUREMENTS: 20-1/4" wide x 21" deep x 34-1/2" high. CONDITION: Good. Scratches on leather fading of color, as expected with use and age.
