Two hand-colored ornithological engravings on laid paper, captioned: "The Titmouse of Paradise, and the small black and red snake, boath (sic) drawn and etched from life of their natural bignes (sic) by George Edwards. July the 7th AD 1759", plate 349, and "The Blue Jay from the East Indies, drawn and etched from the natural Bird by George Edwards, Septem. 20 AD 1759" plate 326, both from 'Essays upon Natural History', by George Edwards, published in 1770. Identically matted and framed. Frames, approx. 16 3/4" x 14 1/2", Sight, approx. 9 1/4" x 7 3/4".
