Description

A photo of the "Virginia Dairy Products Association, Charlottesville, Va.", dated January 17-18, 1928 and signed Holsinger. The group is gathered at the foot of the Stonewall Jackson statue on Market Street, with a view of Charlottesville buildings, rooftops, chimneys and steeples beyond. Photo is in very good condition, with a small tear on the far right side and minor abrasions in a small area of the angel at the base of the monument. Rufus Holsinger was an important local photographer in Charlottesville Virginia from the late 19th century to 1930. Frame, approx. 33 1/2" x 13 3/4". Sight, approx. 27 1/4" x 7 1/4".
