A set of Gami 16mm camera gear, belonging to Dr. "Tuesday" Lobsang Rampa.Born Cyril Henry Hoskin (1910-1981), Dr. "Tuesday" Lobsang Rampa was the controversial author of "The Third Eye (An Autobiography of a Tibetan Lama)" and 17 other books centered around religion, the paranormal, and the occult. The controversy around Lama Lobsang Rampa began in 1957 when, after "The Third Eye” became a global bestseller, he was accused of never having visited Tibet - much less being inhabited by the spirit of an ancient Tibetan Lama, as the book claimed - whereupon he fled to Ireland and subsequently to Canada, where he eventually became a citizen. An avid photographer, Dr. Rampa was fascinated moving images and aural photography. Upon his death, Dr. Rampa's camera gear was sold to their local camera store, where it sat in a cabinet until this year.
