Works by Muyaes, the noted Mexican painter and sculptor, rarely appear on the market. Born in Chile as Khaled Mujaes Morales, he moved to Mexico City as a young man and became an integral part of the intellectual circle there (e.g., he was intimately acquainted with the great Chilean poet Pablo Neruda during Neruda's Mexico City years).
