Set of Eight (6 +2) American Carved Mahogany Dining Chairs, late 19th c., the scrolled curved crest rail over a pierced horizontal splat, on reeded supports, to like scrolled arms and trapezoidal slip seats, on reeded saber legs, now in striped upholstery, Arms- H.- 35 in., W.- 21 1/2 in., D.- 21 1/2 in. (8 Pcs.) Provenance: from the Estate of Gertrude "Peggy" Logan Simpson Howcott, New Orleans, LA.
Condition
Condition is consistent with age and use. Scuff marks and surface scratches throughout. All chairs could benefit from cleaning. A handsome set.
