**Previously cleaned and relined; areas of inpainting upper center (forehead, cheeks and along right side of his face and chin); areas of inpainting lower mid-left (jacket) and lower right (shirt and lace); small white marks lower right corner. Modern gilt frame with surface marks, nicks and abrasions.
