Description
15.75" x 11"m (Framed 22.5" x 18"), c. 1830-1840 This "stone watercolor" painting shows Hindu god Krishna (c.3228 BCE) with his love Radha celebrating the Hindu festival "Holi" or the Festival of Spring/Festival of Love/Festival of Colors. Originally the painting was originally sold by the Maharaja Udaipur, then eventually made it's way here. The provenance is hand written on the back. The painting includes gold paint and vibrant colors, the script could be translated from Sanskrit.
