***Auction Highlight*** 1838 N-12 R2 DDR Coronet Head Large Cent 1c Graded GEM+ Unc BN BY USCG. 1838 N-12 R2 Doubled Die Reverse graded MS66 Brown. Tied for Finest Known in the Variety and 7th Overall in the Date. Lustrous uniform medium chocolate brown with satiny mint frost covering the fields. Tiny peeps of very faded mint color show in a few places on both sides. The fields are satiny from fine die flowlines. The doubling on the reverse (from a double-hubbed die, not "machine doubling")) is clear, especially on the berries under TE in UNITED and ST in STATES.
