Hovsep Pushman (1877-1966, New York, California, Armenia), "Armenian Girl," early 20th c., oil on board, signed upper right corner, titled verso, presented in a period beech frame, H.- 11 in., W.- 8 1/2 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. In-painting on cap. Paint flecks off in six small spots. Frame rubbing wear at bottom at front. Varnish around face looks new. Verso inscribed “Armenian Girl, Psuhman,” and “Presented to Philip B. Whitehead by the Art League of Belfort on his retirement 1949.” A lovely piece.
