French Art Nouveau Green Onyx and Spelter Figural Mantel Clock, late 19th c., surmounted by a patinated spelter figure of "Oeillot," by Julian Causse (1869-1909), on a stepped green onyx base with an painted enamel dial drum clock, time and strike, with a retailer's name of "J. Billard, La Rochelle," on patinated spelter splayed legs, H.- 30 1/2 in., W.- 14 in., D.- 8 1/4 in.
Condition
LOT: 201 – French Art Nouveau Green Onyx and Spelter Figural Mantel Clock
Condition consistent with age. No pendulum and loss of gilt on feet. Figure on top is loose, needs a bolt on the screw to tighten it down. A handsome example.
