Description

Venetian School, "Peacock in a Garden with Ruins," 20th c., signed indistinctly lower left, possibly Ross Hand, presented in a wide gilt and gesso frame, H.- 35 1/2 in., W.- 47 1/4 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age. Inpainting in clouds. Very well done and the detailing is great. Has been relined and there is some dirt in the clouds. Signature could be “Rock Hand” or “Rock Hard.” Small scratch at the bottom, in water, near the frame ¾ in. A handsome example. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
