ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring blue transfer of the Coat of Arms of the Worshipful Company of Drapers, depicting two rampart lions on either side of a crest featuring three clouds adorned with triple crowns, and armor above with ram to top, having "UNTO GOD ONLY BE HONOUR AND GLORY" printed on banner below. Having blue-printed "RILEY'S / Semi China" mark to underside with impressed "16". John & Richard Riley, Burslem, England. 1802-1828. 16 3/4" x 13 5/8".
Undamaged with some expected short scattered scratches. Manufacturing flaws, including glaze imperfections to underside, as made.
