We have an excellent signed album page along with a newspaper cut out by "Mr Outside" Glenn Davis 1946 Heisman Winner. He was named a consensus All-American three times, and in 1946 won the Heisman Trophy and was named Sporting News Player of the Year and Associated Press Athlete of the Year. With Davis and Blanchard, Army went 27 - 01 in 1944, 1945, and 1946. Davis was nicknamed "Mr. Outside", while Blanchard was "Mr. Inside". Davis soon teamed with Doc Blanchard on the 1944 - 45 - 46 teams (Davis won the Heisman in 1946, the year after Blanchard won it). They formed one of the most lethal rushing combinations in football history. All Autographs in this auction come the the Estate of Charles D. a Watertown New York native - Born 1929 and as a child collected autographs from major sports figures and teams traveling to the NY area. Collecting most of his autographs in the late 1930's to the 1940's when Charles with between the age of 10 & 15.
