a very early face jug in the red glaze that ML Owens was famouse for. Dated on back shoulder 1989. Merry Christmas. Signed on base BH with no kiln mark. This was before he started marking his kiln. The applied facial features are excellent with the finger going up santas nose. verly large 3 gallon height is 17" to 18"
