***Auction Highlight*** 1878-p 7/8tf Vam 37 7/4 I4 R4 Morgan Dollar $1 Graded GEM+ Unc By USCG. Superb Colorful Toning visit this thoroughly lustrous and precisely struck silver dollar. The middle tail feathers are doubled south. The reverse is well preserved, and the obverse displays only scattered wispy marks. The doubled tailfeathers seen on several 1878 die varieties were caused by hubbing a Type Two reverse over a Type One reverse. Four of the original eight tailfeathers are still visible on this variety, along the bottom of the primary seven. This Strong 7/4 variety is scarce in high grade, as is the date in general at the MS65+ level. This Premium Gem is sharp and frosty. Tied for 3rd Finest in the Variety. Finest in the date are only 2 coins which are graded ms66+ at only 1 point higher. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin.
