This is a Litho-Chrome Real Photo Post Card of a Native American mother and child, most likely from Ponca City, Oklahoma where the photographer, Vince Dillon, settled. It is unposted, and both the postage stamp box and undivided back style is from 1901 to 1907 based on the design. About the photographer: Vince Dillon (1866-1931) was born in Virden, Illinois. He spent most of his life in the photography business, having learned the trade from his father. Living the nomadic life during his early years, he settled for a time in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He became interested in the Ponca Indians in the area, and learned their language. He then moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas where, after five years practicing pharmacy, he became a registered pharmacist. Missing photography and Native Americans, Dillon Moved to Fairfax, Oklahoma. With his father, he established a photography business and became the official photographer for the 101 Ranch. He died in 1931.
