American mahogany bedroom suite designed by Edward Wormley (American, 1907-1995) for Dunbar, Indiana; comprising a long double dresser having two banks of four drawers centering double cabinet doors (29-1/2 x 72 x 18 in.); a nightstand having double cabinet doors over a single drawer (25 x 20 x 15 in.); and a pair of twin headboards with rattan caning (28-1/2 x 41-1/2); with plaque "DUNBAR / Berne, Indiana"
Provenance: sold by Barbara Dorn Assoc., New York, NY with old paper label on back of dresser; from the estate of the late centenarian Joseph S. Blank, Jr., noted collector and former board member of The Neuberger Museum of Art
