The cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The adjustable vertical panel with inlaid swags and tassels at top, above an oval applied brass ring which once probably secured a needlework or some other sort of textile. Provenance: New Jersey Private Collection

Condition
Breaks to upper and lower shaft have been repaired.A brass ring has been applied to the upper area of shaft-where the pole is imbedded-in order to secure the wood which has been repaired in this area. The mahogany veneered screen has a brass oval applied ring which probably once held a decorative textile of some sort. The posts and nuts which secure the brass oval to the panel are 18th century.
