Elvis Presley's 1975 Harley Davidson FLH Motorcycle W/Original Title in His Name (Never Offered at Auction) - This 1975 Harley Davidson FLH motorcycle was personally owned by Elvis Presley who purchased it from a Memphis Harley Davidson dealership in October, 1974. This Harley was purchased by a family owned Ohio Harley Davidson dealership owner who was contacted by a man in 1987 who asked if they would be interested in purchasing a Harley Davidson motorcycle previously owned by Elvis Presley. She replied that she would be interested, and the man decided he wasn't sure if he wanted to sell, and would call them back at a later time. They had several calls back and forth until the man finally gave her some additional information. The man stated that this motorcycle was eventually given by Elvis to his attorney, and after his tragic death was brought to Cleveland by the attorney and quietly stored in a warehouse for 10 years. According to an audio interview from the Ohio Harley dealership owner, she believed that the man was the attorney as he was very emotional about the bike. After many phone calls, the man finally gave a price for purchasing the bike, stating that he wanted all cash, and they set up a meeting and the dealership began getting the cash together. Soon after, the woman received a call from the man and was told that she could purchase the Harley that evening, and was told to bring the cash to a Cleveland hotel. The woman, eight months pregnant at the time with swollen feet from working at the dealership all day, along with a mechanic from the dealership nervously proceeded to downtown Cleveland to purchase the bike. When they arrived to the hotel room they were greeted by a man who according to the audio interview looked visibly upset like he had been crying. There was also a woman who looked visibly upset and was yelling at the man "do not sell this bike" and "we are not selling this bike". The man handed the dealership owner the original Tennessee title in Elvis Presley's name, which she knew "was the real deal" as being a dealership owner she was very well versed in titles. They eventually made a deal and the mechanic carefully backed the bike out of the hotel room where it was surprisingly housed, with the man telling them "just take it and go, I don't need to count the money."
