Four original pen and ink comic strips by Mac L Pakula for the "Down The Road" series. Two feature the father imagining he is on a safari, and dealing with a growling stomach, and two feature road trips. All 4 are signed.



Mac Pakula was a cartoonist and illustrator who lives in Oro Valley, Arizona. He was educated at the School of Industrial Art, New York, and the Cartoonists and Illustrators School. In the 1950s he worked as a comic book artist for Atlas/Marvel, doing art on the company's war, spy, horror, suspense and western titles, including Strange Tales, Battle, World of Fantasy and War Combat. He also drew 'Clark Mason' and back-up features in Wyatt Earp.



Measures: Each strip measures 7.5in x 20.75in



Condition: There are multiple thumb tack holes around the edges, a few minor stains, otherwise in very good condition.
