It was purchased by our client at Sotheby's Geneva Auction in 1991. This piece was produced sometime between 1908-1917 workmaster Vladimir Soloviev, and bears the workmaster's marking of "B.C".The nephrite blade is embellished with reeded mounts, each side is set with a rose-cut diamonds, and surmounted by a gorgeous cabochon chalcedony. Provenance: Previously sold by SOTHEBY'S, GENEVA ON THURSDAY 21ST NOVEMBER 1991, LOT 465. This piece has very strong investment quality as it has sales provenance by a well-respected auction house. Karl Faberge was truly a master at his trade, and is best known for creating the highest end items. This piece is a very rare find, as many of these types of pieces were destroyed during the revolution. To find a pre-revolution piece in this magnificent condition is quite rare, and is certainly a collection highlight piece. Measures: 11.5cm in length (Please see photos for condition).
