Description: Greek vase. Name of the shape, Loutrophoros, ancients warriors, epoque of Mycenoe. geometric decoration style of about 800. B.C. signed D. Vassilopous 5-3-1957. mark of helmeted head . AOHNA . hand made & painted in Greece reproduction by C. Vassilopoulis & Sons28 KaraTSHAKES St. Athens. Measurements approximate: 13.5" x 3.25: across diameter jug 5.5" across with handles underneath top, neck of vase 3" across, height of neck total 5". Lower portion of vase / jug 9" high total. Width of base 3" across. Animal scenes around top of neck, horse drawn chariots around lower neck, helmeted soldier with spear and sword around main vessel.
