Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. late 1st millennium BCE. A fine gathering of four cast-bronze bracelets from the ancient Dong Son culture. First is a circular bracelet with a central register of raised tabs as well as a conical nodule atop either terminal. Two similar items are composed from a pair of bracelets that are encrusted to one another. The largest bracelet exhibits a tapered cylindrical form with dozens of raised bands across the body. Each composition is enveloped in thick green patina. Size of largest (cylindrical): 3.5" L x 1.8" W (8.9 cm x 4.6 cm)
