Native American, Pacific Northwest Coast, Tlingit, ca. 1950s to 1960s CE, made by Tlingit silversmith Bill J. Wilson. A beautiful sterling silver bracelet in the form of a beaver with engraved details including a delightful paddle-like tail, oval eyes with delineated pupils, and exaggerated front teeth. The thin shank has low relief abstract decoration around it. In Tlingit tales, the beaver is a well-known figure. The name "Bill J. Wilson" is stamped into underside of the shank. A wonderful and wearable example! Size: 2.9" W (7.4 cm); 21.0 grams
