Condition
Metalwork: With wear and toning, surface dirt and some oxidation spotting, with scuffs and some light abrasions. To the reverse of the base behind the glass, there are four drill holes on the top of the base beneath each figure to diffuse the light. The glass is held into the base with two fixing screws. The glass: With surface dirt in crevices. Scattered trapped air bubbles overall. There are two fleabites to one side edge which are above a shallow possible impact crack (approximately 1/4in in length). There is a small circular spot on the surface of the front of the glass appearing between 10 and 11, which is possibly a popped air bubble. Apparently unsigned. The clock case at reverse is wrapped with invisible tape. Clock movement by Sessions Clock Company Forestville, CT, USA. Clock currently not maintaining power. The push button switch at reverse lacking cover. The wiring looks somewhat old. We would suggest having a qualified electrician check and probably re-wire to today’s standards. When plugged in, the piece currently lights. Andrew Jones Auctions does not guarantee the workings of any electrical devices.
