A Bakshaish carpet Northwest Persia approximately 15ft 2in x 11ft 4in (462 x 345cm) Provenance: Sold Sothebys London, 5 April 2006, lot 140. Property from a curated Montecito Residence.

Condition

Probably late 19th century; With overall even moderate wear and fading. Beige border later added. Altered in size. With irregularities in pattern to the main inner border. With scattered areas of repair and reweaving throughout. Appears to have been reworked a few times.
