Description
Chinese Green Jade ‘Comb’ Animal Mask Ornament, Hongshan Culture 3500 BC -2500 BC
紅山文化 約公元前3500-2500年 青玉帶齒動物面紋飾
This is a very rare example of an anthropomorphic ‘Comb’ mask ornament. The delicacy of this ancient object can be seen in the brilliant translucency, and superbly sharp edges. The delicate curves of the jade form multiple animals (monkeys), and join together to form a supernatural being mask.
