Eastern Mediterranean, Bronze Age, possibly Cypriot 2nd mill. B.C..Terracotta. H. 9.6 cm. W. 7.3 cmStylized human figurine on a round stand. High headdress. Small breasts. The raised arms possibly indicate a gesture of praying. Typologically related to the Mycenaean so-called Psi idols. Larger parts of the white slip preserved. Traces of red paint. Large part of the right arm lost. Small part of the left arm reattached.Formerly Coll. Prof. Hans Dahn (1919-2019), Lausanne; acquired 1956.
