Choice Tin and Four-Sided Glass Vented Candle Lantern
c. 1770 Colonial & Revolutionary War Era, 18th century Vented Tin and Four-Sided Glass Candle Lantern, fully intact and in original working condition, Choice Very Fine.
Choice 18th century tin and glass Candle Lantern in its original condition with natural patina. The surface has a nice dark even patina as expected from age. The four original glass panes are in solid good condition, a rarely seen feature is the use of four roof panel heat / light vents, though one of the small vent roof panels is missing on one side. The door opens and closes nicely with a small functional clasp handle which catches properly when closed. On the inside around the candle holder tube are traces of wax from many years of use. With the handle fully up measuring 10.5 inches high and 3.5 inches wide. Superior in quality and ready for display.
