Description
A Chinese Blue and White 'Dragon' Dish, with Wanli Mark, well potted of a shallow rounded form, rising from a tapered ring foot to the slightly everted rim, well painted on the exterior with two dragons striding through cruciform clouds in pursuit of 'flaming pearls' and on the interior with three vaporous clouds encircled by a double-line border below band of classic scroll at the rim, with 'Da Ming Wan Li Nian Zhi' seal mark on the base. Dimensions: 1.5"h x 7.5"dia (3.8cm x 19cm). Provenance: Lot 709, Sotheby's Hongkong 1981; Lot 165, Sotheby's Hongkong 2004. Provenance: Property of Kobijutsu KenShuDo, Japanese Osaka Estate Antique Company.
