Pair of Gio Ponti shell armchairs Italian, 1940. Wonderful pair of armchairs in the shape of a shell totally restored in dark orange velvet. Wonderful pair of 1940s armchairs completely restored in orange velvet/cooked earth. The armchairs are original 1940s Art Deco style. This motif is typical of the very glamorous style of that period, in fact this design is back in vogue in this period. The Gucci Home campaign also draws on this motif for its Home line.Thanks to its structure it makes its seat very soft and enveloping. The feet of the armchairs are made of conical wood.
