Northern Europe, Holland/Netherlands, ca. 18th century CE. A trio of beautifully painted Delftware chargers, of the blue-on-white style. Each has an abstract floral motif in bright blue on a bright white field. Tin-glazed pottery in Europe was inspired by increasing trade with China, and the area around the city of Delft became particularly known for its wares. Size of largest: 12.75" W x 1.65" H (32.4 cm x 4.2 cm)

Provenance: private Los Angeles County, California, USA collection, acquired by descent from the owner's father, collection amassed between 1950 to 1990

Both have some small losses on their feet but stand easily. Light wear to pigment on rims. Otherwise in fine condition. The larger of the two is fitted with a metal frame for hanging.
