Significant palaeographic study of the Bible. All except the first volume with author's presentation inscriptions, though that in the final volume is perhaps in a different hand. The first volume was published in 1835; the two parts of Vol. II in 1840 and 1841; the third (which is designated as Part the Third, Vol. I, but apparently all published) in 1856; and the Proofs in 1857. Wall's Proofs is an important work on the Massoretic tradition of the Bible text. It is quite rare to have all the parts, plus the Proofs, together, since they were published over a span of more than twenty years.
