Item Details
Description
**Addendum-Please note: Seller guarantees actual miles; however, due to age title says mileage not required.** 1994 Dodge Viper RT/10 - VIN: 1B3BR65E1RV100633 - Offered Without Reserve - Documented 22 miles from new with all dealer items intact | Meticulously stored in a climate-controlled garage its entire life | Aluminum V-10 engine with six-speed manual transmission | Impeccable condition and a true benchmark vehicle - 8.0-liter aluminum V-10 engine, 415 HP, six-speed manual transmission, four-wheel vented disc brakes, independent unequal-length upper and lower control arms, coilover shock absorbers with anti-roll bars; wheelbase: 96.2”

Conceived by the Chrysler Advanced Design Studios in 1988, Chrysler President Bob Lutz and Designer Tom Gale started with the goal to create the modern Cobra. They saw the need for a performance car in Dodge’s rather tepid lineup. First seen in concept form at the 1989 North American Auto Show, the reception was so strong it headed straight to production. Despite a few financing delays, Team Viper was able to work with Lamborghini for the prototype V-10 aluminum engine blocks and, by the Indy 500 race of 1991, it was pretty much fully developed, and the automotive press wanted more, so Carroll Shelby actually drove the pre-production car as the Pace Car that year.

The Gen 1 Vipers met the goal of emulating the Cobra, fully capable of 165 MPH with 400 HP on tap. They are a visceral experience to drive, with an amazing feel for the road that leaves the pilot fully in control. With performance cars pretty much gone from the automotive landscape, the Viper held a unique position in the U.S. market as the purest “driver’s car” available.

Offered here is arguably one of the best original Vipers in existence and is presented with just 22 miles from new. Finished in the correct Viper Red, this sleek and beautifully executed Tom Gale design is perfectly rendered in the factory original paint with a brilliant shine. Like the Cobra roadster it emulates, there are no outside door handles or key cylinders, and almost no trim - just an aerodynamic shape in impeccable condition. The fabric top has never seen rain, and the side curtains, tonneau cover, and removable rear window are all provided with their brand-new factory bags. Even the factory original Michelin tires are still on this unique Viper. This incredible specimen received the kind of care we all hope to hear about when we consider purchasing an original collector car. The original owner kept the car undriven for the first 16 years, except for regular maintenance drives, and meticulously stored the original window sticker, dealer prep checklist, owner’s manuals, VHS owner’s manual update tape, and the warranty cards which are all included. Items such as the front license plate bracket still wrapped in plastic and rear license plate bolts never used and still in their packaging show the extent of the original owner’s commitment to preservation. Inside, the impeccable condition continues, with that cool wraparound dashboard, deep bucket seats, and full gauge package. The heart of this beast, however, requires popping the clamshell hood to see the fully original V-10 engine, which remains clean and factory stock. It’s a historical display of a legendary power plant that your friends are all going to want to see.

Certainly a welcome feature car at many important car events, this Viper will serve as a benchmark vehicle for many years to come. It’s an intriguing combination of incredible originality and pure performance just waiting to be unleashed, giving the lucky new owner the enviable choice of either preserving or simply enjoying this fine performance car.
