Mansfield (Bob) Bascom Studio Woodwork Stand With Egyptian Motif Brass Tray. Mansfield 'Bob' Bascom (1923-2020) married Ruth Esherick in 1962. In 1973, Bob and Ruth moved to Paoli, PA, to establish the Wharton Esherick Museum. The stand is in the style of Wharton Esherick, BobÃs father-in-law. The four carved supports curve inwards towards the center; the stretcher supports slightly taper towards the middle; the two leg pieces affixed by a screw; the top with a lobed edge and a densely engraved Egyptian motif. The base incised with 'B' and '1982'. Dated 1982. {Approximate dimensions: 20 1/2 high x 28 3/4 inches diameter.}. Condition: Some patina to the brass, light surface wear to the wood base.
